The leaders and students are finishing orientation and getting ready for our first evening of "club." Everyone is in good spirits and bonding together as a team. It has been a great weekend thus far experiencing worship in a new church and digging into Genesis at the Creation Museum.
Thank you for your prayers and keep them coming! Tomorrow will be a big day for learning as we get used to our service sites. Pray that we will bond within our crews and be JesusWhere'd you all go?' hands and feet wherever we go.
Chick-fil-A & Creation Museum...hope they were great! We're excited for you and praying for y'all. Love from Northern MI. (Hannah S's Aunt & family)

--Hannah, feel free to bring home a to-go bag. Week-old Chick-fil-A is still better than "settling for Subway" :-)... Love you!
Hope y'all have had a good bonding time so far. Praying you have a wonderful week being His hands and feet.
ReplyDeleteGo Team! You're in our thoughts and prayers!!!
ReplyDeletePraying for you all, that you all experience God in a special and personal way this week, and that God uses you all to do amazing things for Him in Kentucky this week. Also praying that you feel God's presence, and grow closer to Him, and to each other, each and every day! Brielle, we're proud of you, sweetheart, and miss you very much! We're looking forward to hearing the amazing stories I know you're going to have to tell!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great time - we'll keep up with you on this blog!!
Dad (and Mom, Brendan, Brady, and Brooklyn)
PS - we don't want Hannah to feel all alone on her Chik-Fil-A run, so feel free to pick up your own "to-go" bag, if you want!!! ;-)
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; (Psalm 37:23)
ReplyDeletePraying every step taken, every word spoken and every deed done is for Jesus.

Love you, Em
"Awesome to read your first update - wrote a poem for you guys:
ReplyDeleteThere once was a Calvary middle school youth group,
They set out for Louisville with Byron leading the troop.
While the weather in Kentucky is sure to be hot,
This group is committed - so complain they will not!
Ministering to a needy community is part of their plan,
They will show them the love of Jesus and why He IS THE MAN!
They will work hard, sweat hard and play hard too,
They'll create lasting memories and friendships true!
While their family will miss them and pray much as well,
This experience will surely bless them more than they can tell!
- we are praying for you all (extra X's and O's for Logan Linder, Love Mom)
Go Team!
Praying for you all...Loving and missing you...so proud of who you are in Jesus and can't wait to hear what HE has done through you.
