Day at the Ranch

 This morning, Pastor Jim talked to us about the grace we are given when we repent from our sin. After some personal quiet time and reflection, our team drove to a horse farm where we served a woman who is a new believer attending Pauper's Chapel. We did everything from digging holes to fix pipes, to mowing pastures and tearing down (and rebuilding) fences. During our lunch break, we were blessed with the opportunity to hear Coriander's (the owner of the horse farm) testimony. We heard about all the wonderful ways that God has worked in her life because she has repented her sin to Him. After leaving the farm, we spent time by the Atlantic Ocean. We ate dinner at The Lobster Shack and then spent time debriefing next to the ocean. It was another terrific day!!!

        Please pray that . . .

• God will keep the rain away for work tomorrow 
• God will COMPLETELY unite our team
• the teachings will grow us and strengthen us

Safely in Maine!

  After prayer and a group picture we headed off to Detroit! We took the 2 & 1/2 hours in the vans to get to know each other better. Once we went through security at the airport we grabbed some dinner. We were all split up at different tables and learned more about each other then too. Some of us were nervous and others excited when we boarded the plane. The turbulence wasn't bad and we landed safely in Boston at 9:00. From Boston we took 3 mini vans to Portland  (2 hour drive)! Now at our hotel the craziness of the day has finally hit. We are all very tired!
   
     Praise God for . . .

• the unity that He has already brought to our team
• the safety that He provided in all of our traveling

     Please pray that . . . 

• we would get the rest that we need
• God will continue to bless us
• we will all work to the best of our abilities at the horse ranch tomorrow

We Leave On Thursday!

  Tonight the Maine team was anointed and prayed over by the elders at Calvary Church. We are all super excited to leave on Thursday! Please be praying for safety, unity and flexibility for the team.
             

I can't get pictures to post right now but everything is going well here in GR.  We did all kinds of stuff today.  The boys weeded their hearts out and we turned in overgrown jungle into neatly maintained beds.  They did such a great job that we bought mulch to finish off the job.

We served rootbeer floats at Degage and handed out popsicles and bottled water to people in the Heartside neighborhood.  We worked at Kids Food Basket and Alpha Women's Center as well.  Everyone worked hard and somehow 45 kids got where they were supposed to be all day.  Hopefully someone more tech savvy than me can get photos up.

I'm tired.
